Brain Injury Association of America The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the lives of individuals with brain injury and their circles of support by focusing on prevention, research, education, and advocacy. BIAA encompasses a national network of more than 40 chartered state affiliates across the country and hundreds of local chapters and support groups.

Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center Established in 1992, the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) represents a unique collaboration between the Department of Defense (DOD), the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), and the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA). The underlying goal of DVBIC is to ensure that active duty military and veterans with brain injury receive the best evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.

National Association of State Head Injury Administrators The mission of the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators (NASHIA) is to assist state government in promoting partnerships and building systems to meet the needs of individuals with brain injury and their families.

National Institutes of Health The National Center for Medical and Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) was established within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1990. The Center is a component of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). The Center’s mission is to support research, fostering the scientific knowledge needed to enhance health, productivity, independence, and quality of life for persons with disabilities.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health  The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) supports and conducts research, both basic and clinical, on the normal and diseased nervous system, fosters the training of investigators in the basic and clinical neurosciences, and seeks better understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neurological disorders.

North American Brain Injury Society  The North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) comprises professionals involved in either the care or the issues surrounding brain injury. NABIS provides education programs, scientific updates, and a platform for communication and professional exchange.

Social Security Administration The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources

Traumatic Brain Injury Technical Assistance Center The TBI Technical Assistance Center (TBICS) is a learning, collaboration, and benchmarking tool for grantees and others affiliated with the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury Program.
